What is a Korea export sourcing company?

A Korea export sourcing company buys goods inside Korea on behalf of an overseas importer, checks them, consolidates them, prepares the export documents and ships them abroad. Importers use one when the seller has no export department: a factory selling used equipment, a small manufacturer, or a brand clearing stock.

How buying through us works

  1. Request. Send the item, specification, quantity and destination country.
  2. Sourcing and quote. We locate the goods in Korea and send photos, specifications and a price with the Incoterm stated (FOB, CFR or CIF from Incheon or Busan).
  3. Inspection. You check the goods by live video or in person. A third-party inspector of your choice is welcome.
  4. Proforma invoice and payment. Payment is by bank transfer against our proforma invoice. The terms are written on each quote.
  5. Packing and loading. We arrange dismantling where needed, export packing and container loading.
  6. Documents and shipment. You receive the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading, plus a certificate of origin when the goods qualify as Korean origin.

Planning a shipment? Use the container load calculator to estimate CBM and how many units fit in a 20ft or 40ft container.

Duties, origin and export rules

TopicWhat importers should know
Free trade agreementsKorea has trade agreements with the EU, the UK, ASEAN, India, Australia, Canada and many other partners. Preferential duty applies only to goods that qualify as Korean origin and ship with a valid certificate of origin.
Used goodsA used machine located in Korea is not automatically Korean origin. We tell you before you pay whether a certificate of origin can be issued.
Used machinery import rulesMany countries set an age limit or require a pre-shipment inspection for used machinery. We confirm the rule for your country before quoting.
Export controlSome high-precision machine tools and robots need a Korean strategic-item classification before export. We file the classification request.

Frequently asked questions

Can a foreign company buy directly from a Korean factory?

Yes, if the factory is willing and able to export. Many sellers of used equipment and many small manufacturers are not: they have no export staff and no experience with export documents. In those cases an exporter in Korea buys the goods and ships them to you.

What is the minimum order?

There is no fixed minimum, but our service suits orders that fill at least part of a container or involve a single high-value machine. Small parcel orders are better served by a shopping service.

Which ports do you ship from?

Incheon and Busan are the usual ports. We quote FOB, CFR or CIF as you prefer.

Can I inspect the goods before paying?

Yes. We arrange a live video inspection or an on-site visit, and you may send your own inspector.

Do you provide a certificate of origin?

We provide one when the goods qualify as Korean origin under the relevant trade agreement. For used or foreign-made goods located in Korea this is often not possible, and we say so before you pay.

Which products do you not handle?

Medical devices, medicines and other goods that need a licence to trade. For cosmetics and food we consolidate orders, but the importer of record must hold the registrations required in the destination country.
